YEREVAN: Champion Armenian-Australian boxer Vic Darchinyan revealed to PanARMENIAN.NET that he feels home in Armenia, regardless of the cold chills of winter.
“I’ve missed Armenia. Despite the cold weather, I, as always, feel perfect in Armenia," Darchinyan, a loser in his last fight against Abner Mares, said.
"I plan to leave for Australia in early February to start training.”
Darchinyan confirmed that the Mares loss was being appealed against by his team.
“I was certain of the victory, and attempted to show a more technical combat, yet the arbiters were unfair in giving the victory to Mares,” Darchinyan said.
Darchinyan is, however, is in high spirits as he prepares for a showdown with Yonnhy Perez.
