SYDNEY: The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) is celebrating 50 years of operations in Australia in 2014, and to launch celebrations, the organisation has revealed its Anniversary logo.

The logo, designed by a member of the Armenian Youth Federation of Australia (AYF Australia), contains the renowned ARF symbol, the word "Australia" scribed in Armenian, the number "50" with the year of formation and 2014 also finding their place. The colouring is red, blue and orange, signifying the colours of the Armenian flag that the ARF has defended throughout its 124 years of global existence.

The ARF Australia 50th Anniversary Committee has planned events to celebrate this 50th Anniversary milestone in Sydney and Melbourne during November and December 2014, with international guests currently being confirmed to attend. Specific details of these events will be revealed in due course.

Globally founded in 1890, the ARF launched in Sydney Australia in 1964, when a group of devoted immigrants realised the country's burgeoning community needed Dashnaktsutyun's leadership, which is based on a program of social justice, democracy and national self-determination for the Armenian people.

The ARF became and continues to be Australia's largest Armenian political organisation in membership and supporters. The Armenian Youth Federation of Australia is the organisation's youth collective, which was established in 1978. ARF Australia works closely with the Armenian National Committee of Australia, Homenetmen (Sporting and Scouting), the Armenian Relief Society (Humanitarian) and Hamazkaine (Cultural and Educational). Armenia Media (Armenia Online, Armenia TV, Armenia Magazine and Armenian Radio) is the affiliated media organisation of ARF Australia.
