SYDNEY: This Sunday 22nd April, the Sydney Armenian community will be out in force at the annual #MARCHFORJUSTICE, calling for recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Australian government and an end to the Turkish state's denial of one of the greatest unpunished crimes against humanity.

Bestselling author, Chris Bohjalian and Member of the NSW Parliament's Legislative Council, the Hon. Rev. Fred Nile will be special guests at the March for Justice, which will be led by Homenetmen Australia's Marching Band, clergy from all Armenian churches, community leaders, students from Galstaun College and the community's Saturday schools, members of Armenian-Australian organisations including the Homenetmen Australia Scouts, the Armenian Youth Federation of Australia, the Armenian Relief Society of Australia, Hamazkaine Australia, the Armenian Students Association of NSW and the Armenian Church Youth Association.

The marchers will include thousands of members of the Armenian-Australian community, joined by the greater Australian community led by Assyrian-Australians and Greek-Australians, who are also made up of descendants of survivors of the same genocide of 1915.

The March for Justice will begin at Hyde Park in the centre of Sydney's Central Business District at 2PM, and continue along a blocked off Macquarie Street, which houses the NSW Parliament House, State Library and the busy entrance into Martin Place. The march will conclude with a special program at Customs House near Circular Quay.

A large number of community members have added the "I WILL MARCH FOR JUSTICE" Facebook frame to their profiles (click here) to confirm their attendance, while community leaders and members of schools and organisations have made videos with a similar slogan coupled with a key ask: "I WILL BE MARCHING FOR JUSTICE ON APRIL 22. WILL YOU?".

We embed these videos below and look forward to seeing you all there on Sunday. SPREAD THE WORD!!
