SYDNEY: The Armenian Youth Federation of Australia (AYF Australia) has announced it will mark the 91st Anniversary of the famous February Revolt (Pedervaryan Abestampootyoon) with a Dinner Dance (khrakhjank).

The event, which will take place at the Armenian Cultural Centre in Willoughby on Saturday 10th of March 2012, will feature a special program headed by singer Raffy Adourian, who recently moved to Sydney Australia from Aleppo Syria. Tony Akillian will accompany him on the keyboard.

Ohanes Ohanessian and Sevag Varjabedian will follow Adourian onto the stage to lead attendees in revolutionary songs.

The February Revolt was a popular uprising against the Soviets in 1921, supported by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation's Committee for the Salvation of the Fatherland and spearheaded in Zangezour by General Garegin Njdeh, who later founded the Armenian Youth Federation (AYF) in the United States of America.
