A high school movie night, organised by the Galstaun College Student Representative Council (SRC), raised much-needed funds for 'Charity: Water Australia'.
'Charity: Water Australia' is an organisation looking to positively impact the continent of Africa by providing safe, clean water wells. Over 1billion people in the world lack access to clean, drinkable water, and Africans are worst-affected. The quality of water in Africa is linked as the primary cause for over 80% of illnesses on the continent.
Over 50 students turned up to the Nalbandian Hall movie night on the College campus on Saturday night, and each donated to the cause. Representatives of Charity: Water Australia' were in attendance and raised much-needed awareness for their cause.
Galstaun College counsellor, Taline Kayserian said: "It was an enjoyable evening for all in attendance and allowed our students to learn about an important cause and contribute to it."
