Students from the Ari Guiragos Minassian school joined the AYF “Aghpiur Serop” Juniors in a performance during the event

SANTA ANA—The ARF Dashnaktsutiun Orange County Armen Karo Gomideh Armenian Center Committee dedicated April 29’s Family Night proceeds to the “With Artsakh” Campaign, which aims assist our brothers and sisters in Artsakh during this difficult time when the Azeri government has launched a full scale attack on the Armenians including the civilian population of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.

Talin Artinian welcomed the crowd with her opening remarks followed by the opening prayer by Rev. Fr. Karekin Bedourian who also stressed the importance of aiding our brothers and sisters. Short speeches declaring solidarity with the soldiers defending the borders and the people of Artsakh were presented by representatives from ANCA OC, AYF Ashod Yergat, ARS Karni and Sevan, Hamazkayin Siamanto, Hometmen Sardarabad chapters, and ARF Armen Karo Gomideh, AGM Armenian School and Forty Martyrs Armenian Church. The committee presented videos from the region in between the speakers, the AYF Aghpiur Serop Juniors performed an amazing medley of national and revolutionary songs and there was even a special guest performance by Karnig Sarkissian.

All participating organizations made donations as did those community members in attendance raising $12,000. All pledged their continued support and commitment to defending Artsakh and its complete liberation.

Every Friday night ARF Armen Karo Gomideh Armenian Center Committee hosts family dinner nights every Friday at the Barsamian Armenian Center, where the AYF “Aghpiur Serop” Juniors also have their weekly meetings.

Since Azerbaijan launched its savage attack on its borders with the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic on April, the ARF Dashnaktsutiun Western US Central Committee joined its counterparts on the Eastern Region in declaring its solidarity with the people and Armed Forces of Artsakh and through its local chapters has raised funds and gathered supplies for the people of Artsakh.

Working closely with people on the ground, the Central Committee has been assessing needs and capacity in order to advance relief efforts to Artsakh, by focusing on assisting efforts to rebuild the impacted villages and towns, especially in Talish, Mardakert and Madaghis.

Last month, the ARF Dashnaktsutiun Western US Central Committee issued an announcement calling on the community to join its fund-raising and rebuilding efforts through the ACF “With Artsakh” and the Armenian Youth Federation’s “With Our Soldiers” campaign. The latter has already sent medical supplies and other necessities to Artsakh.
