STEPANAKERT—The OSCE Mission on Thursday conducted a planned monitoring of the border (also known as the line of contact) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh) and Azerbaijan, according to an Artsakh Foreign Ministry press statement.
The monitoring that took place in Artsakh was held in the Askeran region and was conducted by Field Assistants to the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ghenadie Petrica of Moldova and Khristo Khristov of Bulgaria.
Representatives of the Artsakh Foreign and Defense Ministries accompanied the monitoring mission to the frontlines, read the statement.
OSCE Chairperson in Office Personal Representative Simon Tiller of Great Britain, Field Assistant to the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Jiri Aberle of Czech Republic, and staff member of the Office Peter Svedberg of Sweden monitored from the Azerbaijani side.
The Artsakh Foreign Ministry reported that Azerbaijan did not lead the monitors to its frontlines.
No ceasefire violations were recorded on either side.
