SYDNEY: Leading Armenian-Australian media organisation, Armenia Media Incorporated has appointed prominent community leader Nora Sevagian as Executive Director.

Sevagian, currently a member of the Armenian Relief Society’s (ARS) global Central Committee and previously Chairperson of ARS Australia, has been a long-time contributor to Armenia Media as chief host of the organisation’s hugely popular interview broadcasts.

Following a distinguished 17 years of service as Community Relations Administrator at Galstaun College, Sevagian most recently worked on the electorate staff of former Premier of New South Wales, Gladys Berejiklian.

She will bring her vast experience to the Executive Director role, which will see her manage all day-to-day operations of Armenia Media.

“Our Board is delighted with the appointment of Mrs. Nora Sevagian to lead office operations, including managing superior content delivery delivery to our community, as well as the development of our organisation’s business,” said Armenia Media Chairperson, Aram Tufenkjian.

“Mrs. Sevagian’s appointment will help Armenia Media realise the next phase of our growth strategy, as we endeavour to satisfy the Armenian-Australian community’s desire for news and feature content across our digital channels in text, audio and video formats,” Tufenkjian added.

Sevagian, who will be based out of Armenia Media’s Willoughby headquarters in Sydney on a part-time basis, welcomed the opportunity to lead an organisation close to her heart.

“I have been part of the Armenia Media family, both as a previous Board member and host of interview programs like Australia Live by Armenia Media, and am humbled by my appointment as Executive Director and confident I will be able to deliver on our ambitious goals for this critical service to our community,” said Sevagian.

“My immediate focus will be on expanding our content and audience, with the assistance of fellow staff and community volunteers, while also working on building the business of Armenia Media by attracting advertisers to our various platforms,” Sevagian added.

Sevagian will continue her role as the primary host of Australia Live by Armenia Media, promising to interview local and international guests of interest to Armenian-Australians.
