The Honourable Gladys Berejiklian named first Armenian Minister in NSW government

SYDNEY: Gladys Berejiklian, the NSW Member for Willoughby, has been named as Transport Minister of Australia's largest state, making her the first Armenian to serve as a Minister in an Australian state government.

The Liberal and National Coalition won the recent New South Wales State Election under the guidance of leader Barry O'Farrell, who considers Berejiklian a key component of his team. Her high standing is exemplified by her gaining the Transport portfolio, which is considered the toughest of all portfolios in NSW.

SYDNEY: The Armenian Genocide Commemorative Committee has released the schedule of events to commemorate the 96th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Sydney and Melbourne.

ARF Australia Tro Committee attends Singapore church anniversary

SINGAPORE: Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Australia Tro Committee representative Onnig Soghomonian was among other Armenian-Australians who attended the 175th Anniversary celebration of the Armenian Church in Singapore.

The Church of St Gregory the Illuminator in Hill Street is Singapore's oldest Christian church, and was gazetted as a national monument in 1973.

On the Sunday, a holy mass at the church was officiated by the Archbishop of Armenia, who also flew in for the event.

Diaspora Minister raises Genocide recognition and NKR independence with Australian MPs

SYDNEY: Minister of Diaspora for the Republic of Armenia, the Hon. Hranoush Hakobyan visited the New South Wales State Parliament and met with State and Federal Parliamentarians during her short stay in Australia.

The meetings, facilitated by the Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC Australia), with Joe Hockey MP, Paul Fletcher MP, Gladys Berejiklian MP and Jonathan O’Dea MP, provided the Diaspora Minister with a valuable opportunity to present the views of the Armenian government regarding Armenian Genocide recognition and Nagorno Karabakh independence.

Armenia Diaspora Minister visits Galstaun College

SYDNEY: On Tuesday 28th March, Armenia's Minister for Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan visited Galstaun College, delivering her message to the school student body and community.

Hakobyan started her speech by stressing the importance of every Armenian educational institution to create exemplary human beings and create exemplary Armenians.

She then continued her speech by addressing four groups.

Dr Frieze to present at Melbourne Genocide Commemoration

MELBOURNE: Research Fellow in the School of History, Heritage and Society at Deakin University, Dr Donna Lee Frieze has been confirmed as the guest of the Armenian Genocide Commemorative Committee to keynote next month's 96th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Melbourne, Australia.

Frieze, a long-time supporter of the Armenian-Australian community, has published on the Armenian Genocide, the Holocaust, the Bosnian genocide and Raphael Lemkin. In November of 2010, along with other members of the International Association of Genocide Scholars, Frieze participated in the Armenian   FULL STORY

Your Role:
As an early childhood educator, your primary focus will be on collaborating with your team to craft engaging programs for children aged 2 to 5. Drawing from your experience with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), you'll design project-based activities that foster children's development within small groups. You will work alongside a dedicated and professional team, always eager to expand your own knowledge and skills.
Essential Criteria:
Diploma or Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care
First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certification
Child Protection Qualification
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Early Childhood sector
Ability to mentor and support the learning of educators within an Early Education and Care Setting
Alignment with the Happy Kids Early Learning Philosophy and demonstrated practices
Proficiency in project-based learning, the National Quality Framework, Education and Care National Regulations and Law, and The Early Years Learning Framework.
A genuine passion for Early Childhood education and development
A creative, supportive, and cooperative team player
Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
