Berejiklian, an Armenian-Australian, held her annual fundraiser at the Northbridge Golf Club on Friday evening and was flanked in support by the Hon. Joe Hockey (Federal member for North Sydney) and the Hon. Nick Greiner, who was Premier of NSW from 1988 to 1992.

Hockey backed Berejiklian and the Barry O'Farrell-led Liberal Party, to return to government by defeating the Rees government in 2011.

"Above all else, Gladys is an honest individual," said Hockey. "And how refreshing it will be to have her honesty in power in NSW."

Greiner, who remains one of only two Liberals to win government from the Labor Party in NSW, added: "I strongly believe Barry O'Farrell will be the next Premier of NSW and Gladys Berejiklian a senior minister."

Berejiklian, currently the Shadow Minister for Transport, Waterways and Citizenship, thanked attendees, which included a large number of the Armenian-Australian community, for their continued support.
