SYDNEY: Harmick Hacobian, the President of the Hamazkaine Armenian Sydney Dance Company and Board member at Galstaun College, has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia on Australia Day, January 26.

Hacobian actively served the Armenian Chamber of Commerce as President and was an active member of the Armenian Youth Federation and Homenetmen Australia during his youth.

Known for his ability to group together the Armenian community by organising spectacular events and for his focus on youth, Hacobian's honour has been lauded as "well deserved" by all organisations serving the Armenian-Australian community.
