AN HONOURABLE ANTRANIG SCOUTING MENTION

Our Cub Scout leader, Yekhpayr Hagop Der Tateossian, was awarded the prestigious Silver Arrowhead award last Friday night, during the 2ns Willoughby (Homenetmen Antranig) Scouts meeting.

Commissioner Hillary Yelberry, from Scouts Australia, presented the award in front of Yekhpayr Hagop's cub scouts and parents. The Silver Arrowhead is awarded to members and supporters for excellent service to the Scouts Association for a period of at least seven to eight years.

Hagop Der Tateossian has been a Cub Scout leader at the 2nd Willoughby (Antranig) scout group since 2003. Through his determination and hard work, he has introduced positive changes to the group and has been a pleasure to work with.

His creativity and positive attitude has made cub pack meetings fun, and as a result the pack numbers have increased significantly. This in turn has encouraged more parents to get involved and has led to the success of our Scouts family camps.

Hagop has worked with the leaders to ensure that the cubs play an active part in the Lower North Shore District, the Australian Scout Association and Homenetmen. He is a strong supporter of Seonees and Council meetings, and his passion, dedication and organisational skills make him an ambassador for scouting.

Yekhpayr Hagop, is worthy of this award and should be proud of his achievements.
