Serving the Australian Armenian community for 35 years, Armenia Media (previously Armenia Weekly and Sartarabad Radio) is Australia’s leading Armenian media organisation, providing News and Entertainment to Australia’s Armenian community reaching over 50,000 readers and viewers across multiple media platforms. Armenia Media has also been recognised in 2015 and 2016 awarded the BEST ONLINE NEWS COVERAGE and PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR at the NSW Multicultural and Indigenous Media Awards.

About the role

With the appointment of a new Board, Armenia Media is currently recruiting for a social media coordinator/content creator who will be responsible for producing content across all of our social media platforms and website.

The social media coordinator of Armenia Media will report directly to the Armenia Media Board, and be responsible for:

  • Creating social media strategy and building upon the strong foundation of current social media subscribers and audience to increase followers and brand awareness.
  • Creating and posting specialised content across all social media channels including; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, LinkedIn, TikTok
  • Content will include videos/reels, polls, stories, promotions along with designing graphics for website and print.
  • Managing social media channel interaction
  • Advertising through social media channels

We are looking for a self starter and the successful candidate is required to have the following skillset:

  • Preferred to be currently undertaking or completed relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Previous experience in content creation
  • Autonomous and self-motivated, confident to raise and trial new ideas.
  • Able to work outside of regular work hours to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Able to develop new social media ideas and keep up to date with trends.

This role is able to be mainly completed remotely with some time spent in the office in Willoughby. This is a casual role with a minimum of 10 hours per week.
