YEREVAN—Armenia beat Lithuanian 4 to 2 in a friendly soccer match at Yerevan’s Republic Stadium, reported ArmRadio.am
Edgar Manucharyan opened the scoring in the 6th minute, followed by goals from Karlen Mkrtchyan (48th minute), Henrikh Mkhitaryan (55th minute) and Aras Ozbilis (71th minute). Lithuanians score twice in the 66th and 83rd minutes.
Armenia’s long-time captain Sargis Hovsepyan, 40, made his last appearance for the national team, playing only five minutes on the pitch.
“I have only positive feelings, as I wanted four goals, and the team did not turn down my request,” Hovsepyan told reporters after the match.
