BAKU (APA)-The Azeri Defense Minister, during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sunday, warned that if the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is not resolved, military action would be inevitable.
Safar Abiyev meeting with Russia's Anatoly Serdyukov, who was in Baku on a working visit, welcomed Russia's active participation in the Karabakh conflict resolution process.
"The efforts being taken by Russia to resolve the conflict are encouraging and deserve our appreciation," Abiyev told his counterpart.
The two leaders also discussed Azeri-Russian military cooperation and strengthening the two countries' relations.
Abiyev also praised Serdyukov for Russia's active role in other regional matters.
