STEPANAKERT—The Nagorno Karabakh Republic (Artsakh) President Bako Sahakian met with the Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group in Stepanakert on Tuesday, Dec. 17, PanArmenian.net reports.
The Co-chairs – ambassadors Igor Popov of Russia, Jacques Fore of France and James Warlick of the United States – were in Stepanakert to discuss settlement of the Karabakh conflict and a number of regional issues.
Both sides stressed peace talks as the only means of the conflict resolution, with President Sahakian mentioning Artsakh’s full-fledged participation in the negotiations and halt of Azerbaijan’s destructive and aggressive policy as key conditions in the process.
Artsakh Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk also attended the meeting.
Before arriving in Nagorno Karabakh, the international mediators visited Armenia and Azerbaijan for similar talks.
