NINGBO, China—The team representing Armenia at the World Team Chess Championships on Thursday beat the Chinese team in the 5th round of competition, topping its standing by eight points.
Armenia’s Levon Aronian, Sergey Movsisyan and Vladimir Hakobyan ended their matches in a draw, while Gabriel Sargsyan won the game.
Russia and Hungary also gained victories in the 5th round. The match between Azerbaijani and Ukrainian teams continues at the moment.
