Armenian chef wins Gold at Culinary World Cup

LUXEMBURG (ArmRadio)—Armenian cook Vera Hovhannisian has won a gold medal and a cup at the Culinary World Cup 2014 held in Luxemburg from Nov. 22 to 26.

The competition featured more than 1,000 cooks from 60 countries, as well as 105 national, regional, and youth teams.

Vera Hovhannisian’s twin sister Rena also jointed her in the competitions. The sisters presented two works at the contest and both won gold medals.

Hovhannisian has won a number of international competitions. At the age of 20 she received her first gold medal in Malta. She’s particularly well-known for her unique cakes.
