YEREVAN (Public Radio of Armenia)—The icon of the Holy Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide, a painting consecrated on April 23 during the canonization service held for the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide by the Armenian Apostolic Church, has been brought to the St. Gregory the Illuminator Mother Cathedral of Yerevan.

The icon was brought to Yerevan for veneration by the faithful in commemoration of the feast of the birth of the Holy Virgin Mary, with the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

The icon will reside in the Mother Cathedral for a month.
