Artsakh to implement new housing construction project this year

STEPANAKERT (Artsakhpress) — The project of building dwelling houses for families with 5 and more children will start in Artsakh this year.

Artsakh’s Minister of Urban Planning Karen Shahramanyan specified that the project of building dwelling houses for families with 6 and more children was started by “Hayastan” All Armenian Fund last year. 21 houses are being built in the framework of the project.

Regarding the sector of housing construction by the project of capital investments, Shahramanyan informed that about 11 billion AMD was allocated to the sector last year. About 8 billion from the mentioned sum was provided to 788 families for the renovation of dwelling houses.  Apart from that, 21 houses were constructed and 56 houses are currently in progress.

34 houses have been renovated and 2 houses are currently in the process of renovation. Compensation for renovation or purchase of 89 flats has been provided.

Shahramanyan added that 579 million AMD worth block of 24 flats is being built in Mataghis village which is in the Martakert region of the Artsakh for the officers of the Defense Army at the expense of Karabakh extra-budgetary funds.
