YEREVAN (Arka) — Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström signed an agreement today on the mutual avoidance of double taxation of income and property and prevention of tax evasion.
Speaking to reporters after the signing ceremony, Nalbandian said the two countries are boosting a multifaceted dialogue on domestic, regional and international issues. He said the agreement is important because companies with Swedish capital operate in Armenia. Both countries are determined to continue the dialogue at the highest level for the deepening of cooperation.
He also said these ties became especially active after the opening of Armenian embassy in Stockholm and Swedish embassy in Yerevan in 2014.
Sweden and Armenia have also reached an agreement on the improvement of their legal framework and encouragement of investment.
Wallstrom emphasized that the signing of the agreement opens up broad opportunities for the development of bilateral commercial and economic relations.
