YEREVAN, ARMENIA – “We will continue our protests tomorrow morning,” announced Ishkhan Saghatelyan, Vice-President of Parliament, Armenian Revolutionary Federation Representative, at the conclusion of the third consecutive day of marches and rallies in Yerevan’s “France Square” demanding the government’s resignation.

He called upon the protesting citizens to continue their acts of civil disobedience by closing the streets between noon and 2pm on Wednesday, and to congregate at 3:30pm once again at the “France Square” since Pashinyan will be speaking to the Armenian Parliament at 4pm and the people need to make their demands for his resignation heard. “This is why your presence tomorrow is very important,” emphasized Saghatelyan.

He also called for a nationwide walk-out at schools and workplaces.

Saghatelyan also addressed some very frequently asked questions, in particular, the issue of who will come to power after Nikol’s removal.

“After Nikol’s removal, a government of national accord will be formed. This government will be temporary, it will not be the government of any party, any individual, it will not be the government of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, Republican Party, Kocharyan or anyone, it will be a national government of the Armenian people, which will include the best professional generation of this people, who will take responsibility and will take the country out of this situation. There will be no formers, presents, blacks, or whites (editor’s note: Pashinyan had separated the people of Armenia into two groups, “whites” who were supportive of his government and “blacks” who were not) in that government, there will only be capable people who will bring the country out of this situation. Therefore, let them [the government] not manipulate,” said Ishkhan Saghatelyan.
