ARF Australia condemns shooting down of Karabakh helicopter

By armenia.com.au | Thursday, 13 November 2014

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation leadership in Australia has released the following statement:

On Wednesday, 12th November 2014, a helicopter participating in military drills in Nagorno Karabakh was shot down by Azerbaijan forces, with three pilots suspected to be dead.

The ARF Australia Tro Gomide strongly condemns this unprovoked act by Azerbaijan.

This cowardly breaking of the ceasefire agreement proves what the Armenian side of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict has been saying all along, that Azerbaijan is not interested in a peaceful resolution in the region.

We call on the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to strongly condemn these acts by Azerbaijan and the war-mongering of the country's leader, Ilham Aliyev.

Our thoughts are with the families of the fallen pilots.

ARF Australia Tro Gomide
