SYDNEY: Galstaun College held its inaugural Principal's Cup Golf Day on Sunday, 1st November at Riverside Oaks Golf Club.

The day was a roaring success, with over 45 golfers participating in a great day of golf, laughs, and a chance to win a $40,000 Hole-In-One prize.

The golf day was organised by the school's high-achieving Parents & Friends Committee and Raffi Pailagian, a school parent and self-confessed "golf tragic".

Event co-organiser Raffi Pailagian said: "It was a great day where our school parent, and greater Armenian community came together to support the school and celebrate the strength of our friendship and community ties."

"Our school is an asset to our community as it provides us with a place where our children can be educated; and where our various community groups, such as Homenetmen with which I am heavily involved, can hold camps and functions for their membership and the broader Armenian community," Pailagian added.

"In this way our school is something we should celebrate as a significant community achievement and support so that this achievement can be sustained," he concluded.

Celebration and support was definitely the order of the day with 17 golf hole sponsors all helping to make the day possible and promoting their businesses at the same time.

Unfortunately the $40,000 Hole-In-One prize was not won on the day, however, the winning team will forever be etched into the annals of the Inaugural Galstaun College Principal's Cup Golf Day.

The following video presentation is a slideshow of pictures showcasing what was a successful day.
