SYDNEY: On Saturday, 5th March, the Frenchs Forest Bushland Cemetery’s new Armenian Section was officially opened after a Blessing Ceremony led by Bishop Haigazoun Najarian - Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Australia and New Zealand.
Approximately 70 people from the community were in attendance, as well as representatives of leading Armenian-Australian organisations.
Angela Webb, of Northern Cemeteries, opened proceedings with a Welcoming Address. Her colleague from Northern Cemeteries, Mark Franklin then addressed the gathered, before Bishop Najarian and clergy blessed the Section with their Prayers in English and Armenian.
The Ceremony was followed by a Reception in The Lorikeet Room at Frenchs Forest Bushland Cemetery.comments
