Armenian-Australian community leaders urge support for #ARTSAKHSTRONG Telethon [VIDEOS]

SYDNEY: With three days to go, preparations for the #ARTSAKHSTRONG TELETHON, to support Independence, Security and Peace in the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh has gathered pace, with Armenian-Australian community leaders urging mass support through messages to Armenia Media, Inc.

Bishop Haigazoun Najarian - Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Australia and New Zealand - issues a written message of support, which stated: "I urge our community to support this fundraiser. We must not forget that the security of Artsakh is paramount to the future of Armenia and the Armenian race."

Father Basil Soussanian of the Armenian Catholic Church of Australia issued a video message, which can be seen by clicking here or viewing below.



Kaylar Michaelian - Australia's Representative to the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh also issued a video message, which can be seen by clicking here or viewing below.



Edig Darbinyan - Australia's Representative to the Diaspora Ministry of the Republic of Armenia similarly issues a video message, which can be seen by clicking here or viewing below.

A Foundation dedicated to Nagorno Karabakh Independence, Security and Peace has been set up in association with the government of Artsakh after a gathering of Armenian National Committees from around the world in Stepanakert. All proceeds from the #ARTSAKHSTRONG TELETHON will add the contributions of Armenian-Australians to that fund.

The Telethon is being organised, under the auspices of Kaylar Michaelian - Australia's Permanent Representative of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh, by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, Armenia Media, Inc., the Armenian National Committee of Australia, the Armenian Youth Federation of Australia, Hamazkaine, Homenetmen and the Armenian Relief Society.

On Monday July 18th, between the times of 7pm and 10:30pm, the community - from anywhere in Australia - is asked to call 0487-000-748 and make their pledges for donation.

The #ARTSAKHSTRONG TELETHON can be followed by watching live videos at www.facebook.com/ArmeniaOnline or listening to 99.3FM in Sydney.

There will be interviews with community leaders, contributors, while announcements of the donations will feature in the coverage.
