SYDNEY: Next Tuesday, an Armenian Khachkar (Cross Stone) will be unveiled on the grounds of St Mary's Cathedral in the heart of Sydney's Central Business District.
Carved in Armenia, the Khachkar has been donated by Stepan Kerkyasharian and Hilda Kerkyasharian, the Kerkyasharian and Kayikian families as a symbol of gratitude from the Armenian-Australian community to the St Mary's Catholic Church.
The Khachkar will be blessed by Archbishop of Sydney, the Most Reverend Anthony Fisher on Tuesday, 18th December 2018 at 4:45pm. Further details on the flyer for those who wish to witness the unveiling and blessing.
