SYDNEY: The Board of Galstaun College has been implementing a strategic planning process to take the school to its first quarter century and beyond, and has announced the next phase of this process with a Special Enrolment Drive designed to raise students numbers to 320 by the end of 2010.

In moving the College to its next stage of growth and development, many significant developments have already occurred in the areas of management, curriculum, extra-curricular activities, student academic support, leadership programs and buildings. More details of these exciting developments are available on the 2009 Board Report Card (see below).

Of particular interest to the College Community is the construction of a new Multi-Purpose Building, which will include indoor gymnastics and sporting facilities for basketball and football (soccer), a full-size stage and performance theatre, together with a function centre to seat 1000 guests (click here for more info).

Khajaque Kortian of the College Board told armenia.com.au: "The next priority for the College is to raise enrolments beyond 320 students by the end of 2010 and to support this, we have launched a Special Enrolment Drive.

"Galstaun College is offering a one-off Transition Allowance to families who enrol their children at the college in 2010."

The Transition Allowance means parents will receive 50% off first year Tuition Fees for new students enrolling at Galstaun College in 2010.

"We strive to be the school of choice for the entire Sydney Armenian Community," said Principal Kaylar Michaelian.

"Our tuition fees are very competitive compared to other private schools and in addition, Galstaun College has a program of Bursaries and Scholarships providing tuition assistance for worthy students. Applications are handled with sensitivity and in a confidential manner. "

Michaelian added: "We firmly believe that no worthy student from our Community should be denied the opportunity to benefit from a quality Australian education in a secure environment of Armenian language, traditions and cultural heritage."
