Armenian-Australia Community gathers to commemorate the 6th anniversary of the Artsakh war.
Sydney, 27 September 2026: A commemorative event hosted by the ARF Aram Manougian and Keri Gomidehs marked six years since the start of the 2020 Artsakh war, bringing the community together at Galstaun College to remember and reflect.
The event opened with a prayer in front of the Mamig Babig statue, before guests moved to the Nalbandian Hall for the formal program.
Aleen Baliozian delivered the keynote address on behalf of the ARF Aram Manougian Gomideh. She then introduced Kaylar Michaelian, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Artsakh in Australia, who shared his personal remarks with the audience.
Armineh Minassian was then invited to speak. Born in Artsakh, she gave a moving address drawn from her own experiences of war, having seen it from both near and far.
The program concluded with the clergy blessing the 'hokejash' and offering a final closing prayer.
The ARF Aram Manougian Gomideh thanked all those who attended, and said the evening reflected the community's ongoing commitment to remembering Artsakh and supporting its people.
