Another Armenian killed in Aleppo

ALEPPO, Syria (Armenpress)—On Thursday, missiles rained down on the Sryan al Jadid district of Aleppo, resulting in the death of an Armenian resident, Armenpress’ Aleppo correspondence reported. The victim is Perch Gharagyozian. Perch Gharagyozian’s funeral ceremony will be held on May 17, at 11 a.m. Aleppo time, at St. Mary’s church.

 

Earlier, on Sunday, in the Nor Gyugh Armenian neighborhood of Aleppo, Hakob Grtanian, who was serving in a volunteer group together with the Syrian army, was reportedly killed. He died when an improvised explosive device detonated near his team.

Since early May, more than a dozen Armenians have been injured in Aleppo. According to the report of the UN, during the three-year conflict in Syria, the death toll exceeds 130 thousand. The number of Armenians killed is estimated at 100.
