In addition to exemptions from some migration regulations, “Armenia’s citizens also get the same right to be employed in Russia as Russian citizens,” the government said. “It means employers may attract Armenian citizens without taking into account restrictions in protection of the national labor market.”
No permission is required by Armenian citizens to work in Russia from now on. Education certificates and diplomas issued in Armenia will also be recognized in Russia.
The permitted length for Armenian citizens’ and their families’ to stay in Russia will be determined by the terms of their contracts made with employers.
Employees from Armenia will enjoy the same social benefits, excluding pensions, as Russian citizens.
