YEREVAN—Hundreds of people will come flooding through Tumo’s doors the day after the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide for two unprecedented summits celebrating technology and Armenian music. The parallel events will be led by Tumo board members Raffi Krikorian and Serj Tankian.

The HIVE Engineering Leadership Summit will bring together software engineers and technology managers to meet industry leaders from companies such as Google, Facebook, Prezi and Issuu, as well as Reddit co-founder and Executive Chair Alexis Ohanian. The HIVE summit will include talks, an interactive workshop and a chance to have one-on-one networking meetings with speakers.

In parallel, music lovers and professional musicians will participate in the Music Summit, a town hall meeting where leading artists and composers will discuss new approaches to Armenian music following the Centennial. Led by Serj Tankian, they will play representative musical tracks as discussion-starters, and participants will have a chance to ask questions around the theme of music as a reflection of Armenian identity.

Participants in both events will have a chance to mingle during a common lunch, fostering the kind of interaction between art and technology that is one of the hallmarks of the Tumo program.

If you are interested in attending one of the events, please request an invitation for the Technology Summit or the Music Summit.
