BRUSSELS—President of the Republic of Greece Prokopis Pavlopoulos received a joint delegation of the European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy (EAFJD) and the Armenian National Committee of Greece (ANC Greece) today at the presidential palace in Athens.
The delegation comprised of EAFJD President Kaspar Karampetian, ANC Greece Chairman Hagop Hovaguimian, and ARF Dashnaktsutyun representative Kerop Ekizian.
The delegation congratulated Pavlopoulos for his election as president of Greece and discussed Greek-Armenian relations, stressing the need and potential for further cooperation between the two countries.
The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was also discussed, including the need to reach a long-lasting and sustainable peace deal by negotiations and non-use of force.
Greek-Armenian community issues were also discussed. The Armenian delegation wished Pavlopoulos and Greece quick recovery to the Greek financial crisis.
