TSAGHKADZOR (ARMENPRESS)—During a meeting with participants of the annual “Baze” youth gathering in Tsaghkadzor, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan called relations with the Republic of Georgia “cordial” and noted that there are no issues over which Georgia and Armenia cannot reach an agreement.

“We have an agreement with the Prime Minister of Georgia to visit Javakhk this year, [to] familiarize ourselves with existing problems and try to solve them.  The Armenian-Georgian “Friendship” bridge will be constructed in the near future at the border of the two countries. Half of the bridge construction expenses will be covered by the Georgian government. We were also at the Verin Lars checkpoint where light installations and the reconstruction of a 1.5 kilometer road are being carried out. This will make exporting Armenian products to Russia and other countries easier,”Abrahamyan said in Tsaghkadzor.

Electricity transmission lines will also reportedly be constructed between the two neighboring countries, which will contribute to electricity export and the expansion of economic ties. According to Abrahamyan, Armenia and Georgia must try to strengthen their ties.
