The Initiatives for Development of Armenia (IDeA) Foundation and the Regional Development Foundation of Armenia have signed a memorandum of understanding today, according to IDeA’s press site.
IDeA has noted that the memorandum is aimed at cooperating in the field of infrastructure and area development, as well as other joint development projects.
The parties will particularly cooperate within the framework of projects fostering the development of social and public infrastructures in the Dilijan and Tatev regions.
“Our two structures have common areas of activity and carry out works in order to improve infrastructures in the republic, and create new opportunities for the development of areas. IDeA Foundation implements projects in [the] Syunik and Tavush regions, which bear grave potential especially in terms of tourism development. We believe that the joint work with our partners, including the Regional Development Foundation of Armenia, will result in [a] synergistic effect, and we will have significant input in the prospective development of those areas,” acting CEO of the IDeA Foundation Edgar Manukyan said.
“[The] Regional Development Foundation of Armenia has jumpstarted the implementation of [the] new ‘Social Investments and Regional Development’ program. We attach special importance to cooperation with local partners, donors and stakeholders. IDeA Foundation is carrying out work in two regions with huge development potential in Tatev and Dilijan. We hope our cooperation will be fruitful and ongoing,” said CEO of the Regional Development Foundation of Armenia, Ashot Kirakosyan.
