BUENOS AIRES—At the invitation of the Armenian Revolutionary (ARF) Bureau, a regional meeting between the ARF Americas—comprised of the United States East and West Coasts, Canada, and South America—and Australia took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on September 5-6.
Representatives of the ARF Bureau, the ARF Supreme Body of Armenia, the Armenian National Committee of America, as well as 22 representatives of the five ARF regions across North and South America and Australia were present.
The meeting focused on the various challenges facing the ARF and the Armenian people around the world. Representatives presented reports and proposals about their respective regions during the four-session meeting.
Held ahead of the 125th anniversary celebrations of the ARF, the meeting also focused on finding ways to strengthen Armenia, Artsakh, and Javakhk; on the proposed constitutional reforms in Armenia; the plight of the Syrian-Armenian population; ARF organizational matters; youth involvement; the work of the Armenian National Committees; and the consolidation of efforts on matters of national interest.
