YEREVAN (Public Radio of Armenia)—President Serzh Sarkisian met with his Georgian counterpart President Giorgi Margvelashvili during a meeting in Tbilisi.
The presidents discussed economic cooperation between Armenia and Georgia in detail during the meeting.
The presidents emphasized the importance of peace and stability in the region.
Margvelashvili thanked Sarkisian for visiting Georgia and expressed hope that the visit would contribute to further cooperation between the two countries.
Sarkisian said Armenia’s membership in the Eurasian Economic Union and the signing of the Association Agreement between Georgia and the European Union have positively affected the economic relations between the two countries.
The meeting was followed by negotiations in an extended format between delegations from both countries.
