‘Ball of Robots’ reaches Yerevan

YEREVAN (Combined Sources)—For the first time in Armenia, Robots Inc. (Russia) presents the Bal Robotov (Ball of Robots) project directly initiated by Ameriabank and featuring the world’s most famous robots in Yerevan.

The exhibition that opened in Yerevan on December 8 features over 20 interactive robots from various countries and the best of Armenian robotics. Other entertainments include the dancing robot show, quadcopter zone, robolab, Lego brainstorming/robot building sessions, robot programming and robomarket. Some of these robots include the famous English robot humanoid actor Tespian, the Japanese robot Paro that performs zootherapy, Ukrainian robot waiter Yosha, Robofootball from South Korea, Robot ping pong, the American robot “Baxter” that performs industrial tasks, and other interesting robots with different functionalities as well as the best examples of the Armenian robotics.

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, prominent local specialists in the field of robotics, artists and cultural worers, representatives of the event partners, as well as Ameria Group staff visited the exhibition. Children were able to socialize, play and take pictures with magic robots. Mika Varosyan, the second prize winner at Junior Eurovision 2015, performed at the event.

“The goal of the exhibition is to present the achievements of the engineering – robotics from the entire world and the prospects of the robotics to both the children and adults. The overwhelming part of the proceeds from the event will be donated for treatment of children suffering leukemia,” said Artak Hanesyan, Ameriabank Director General – Chairman of Board.

Director General at Yerevan Mall Vazrik Sekoyan in his turn said he was happy to have contributed to this initiative, promoting the development of engineering creativity in Armenia and aimed at the financial support of children with leukemia.

This fascinating exhibition will be held from December 09 until January 10, 2016 (closed days: December 31 and January 01) at Yerevan Mall. Special discount rates are offered for children: AMD 2200 on weekdays and AMD 3300 on weekends. Adult tickets will cost AMD 2900 and AMD 3900 respectively. Special rates for group school tours are also available. The tickets are available also online at cult.am.

Giving high importance to the role of this event in social life in Armenia, Ameriabank has involved its partners in the organization process.
