A military solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is inevitable if a peaceful settlement cannot be reached, Azerbaijan's Defense Minister said Monday, threatened Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic with renewed war, news.az reported.

The Azeri Defense Minister, during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sunday, warned that if the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is not resolved, military action would be inevitable.

One Armenian soldier has been killed in the latest ceasefire violation on the Karabakh-Azerbaijani "line of contact," military authorities in Stepanakert and Yerevan said on Friday.

Azerbaijan's chief presidential foreign policy adviser claimed that Armenia's current leadership "often changes its position" and is "not yet daring to take serious steps" in the peace talks.
