WASHINGTON—Representative Frank Pallone (D-NJ), was awarded the Order of Honor of the Republic of Armenia Tuesday at a ceremony at the Armenian Embassy in the US marking the 15th anniversary of the Congressman’s work as founding co-chairman of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues.
In presenting the award on behalf of President Serzh Sarkisian, Armenia’s Ambassador to the US, Tatul Markarian, said that the high award demonstrated Armenia’s appreciation of his devoted activity during the course of the 15 years and his contribution to the strengthening US-Armenia relations.
Markarian added that the award also was an expression of gratitude from the Armenian-American community for his activism on issues of concern to the Armenians.
In accepting the award, Pallone expressed his gratitude to President Sarkisian and said he would continue his advocacy on behalf of Armenia, Karabakh and the Armenian people.
