PARIS—A delegation from the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations in France (CCAF) met with French President Francois Hollande on Monday at the Elysee Palace.
The CCAF delegation members Mourad Papazian, Alexis Govciyan and Ara Toranian discussed the preparations for the Genocide centennial, the community’s expectations regarding a bill that would criminalize the denial of the Genocide and voiced concerns about Turkey’s membership to the European Union.
Hollande praised the CCAF’s efforts in advancing French-Armenian issues, especially as it relates to the recognition of the Genocide. He also confirmed his intention to visit Armenia in May 2014 at the invitation of Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian.
