Kim Kardashian, Travis Barker, and Cher made social media posts in support of the #SaveKessab campaign
Travis Barker, best known for his work as drummer for Blink 182, posted a picture on Instagram on Sunday, along with the hashtags #SaveKessab and #StopGenocide.
Kim Kardashian also joined the social media campaign with Twitter posts on the same day.
Kardashian tweeted with a plea to prevent a repeat of history, and another encouraging her fans to learn about the situation in Kessab.
Meanwhile, American singer Cher also asked her fans on Twitter to “check out what’s going on in Kessab, Syria.”
“Innocent Christians and Armenians are being killed by Turks,” Cher twitted.
The social media campaign picked up steam after international protests on Friday against Turkey’s complicity and aid in the attacks on the Armenian town. The hashtag #SaveKessab has been trending since then.
